Purpose:
The Camp Counsellor is responsible for the safe and effective operation of camp programs. This position will facilitate program activities and deliver quality instruction.
Education:
Must be enrolled as a York student.Valid certification in Standard First Aid & CPR Level C.
Experience:
Previous experience working with children.
Skills:
1. Ability to understand and demonstrate instructions, policies & procedures.2. Ability to lead and motivate others towards learning new knowledge.3. Ability to provide instruction and support others in developing knowledge or skills.4. Ability to demonstrate responsible, ethical and professional conduct.
Additional Notes:
Vulnerable Sector Police check required.Ability to lift/move/carry equipment or material of varying weights up to 25lb.
