Purpose:
The Strength & Conditioning Assistant will be responsible for assisting in the delivery of strength, conditioning, agility, and power programming for York Lion Varsity athletes.
Education:
Must be enrolled as a York student. Current CPR and First Aid certificates.
Experience:
Experience or interest working with athletes in a training environment.
Skills:
1. Ability to lead and motivate others towards learning new knowledge.2. Ability to communicate with others to explain and share information.3. Ability to understand and demonstrate instructions, policies & procedures.4. Ability to take initiative and demonstrate leadership skills.5. Ability to exercise judgement and decision making.
Additional Notes:
Ability to lift/move/carry equipment or material of varying weights up to 50lb.
