Purpose:
Reporting to the Director, Major Gifts and Campaign, the Prospect Research Assistant provides support to aid in the identification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of Schulich alumni, friends, corporations, and foundations by conducting prospect research and analysis.
Education:
Completion of a University degree in a related field.
Experience:
One year recent and related experience conducting prospect or marketing research. Experience in a non-profit and/or fundraising environment is an asset.
Skills:
Knowledge of research methods that identify and verify information.
Effective communication skills.
Excellent analytical skills.
Ability to interpret, draft, summarize, and communicate information from a variety of sources in a clear and concise manner.
Effective interpersonal skills, including tact, diplomacy, consensus-building, sensitivity to diversity and inclusion.
Ability to work with confidential material including personal information and other intellectual property.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Ability to balance competing demands and deadlines.
Strong project coordination and administration skills.
Ability to work as a member of an interdisciplinary team as well as independently.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint) and client relationship management platforms.
