Purpose:
The Aquatics Lead provides administrative, operational, and instructional support for the Aquatics and First Aid under the direction of the Manager, Intramural Sports, Sport Clubs & Aquatics.

Education:
Successful completion of all York University required trainings, included but not limited to WHMIS, AODA, Violence in the Workplace, and Health and Safety Training.Current National Lifeguard - Pool Option if teaching aquatic-based courses.Current Standard First Aid with CPR-C or HCP from one of Lifesaving Society, Canadian Red Cross, Canadian St. John Ambulance or Canadian Ski Patrol.Aquatic Supervisory Training certification is an asset.

Experience:
Previous experience in an aquatics lead or instructor lifeguard position in a York Campus Recreation program is an asset.Experience in customer service, first aid, instructing/coaching, mentoring, or tutoring is an asset.

Additional Notes:

- Must be able to demonstrate all National Lifeguard and First Aid skills at any time during period of employment including but not limited to during hiring process and at in-service trainings.
- Ability to lift up to 20 pounds.
- A clear Police and Vulnerable Sector check completed within the past three months is required for new staff. A clear declaration is required every four months for returning staff.
- 20/20 corrected vision standard maintained at all times when on duty.
