Purpose:
The Office of Innovation and Entrepreneurship Assistant will assist the Event Team Leaders in the planning and logistics for the Schulich Community Start-up events, and VIP Guest Speaking and Dream Team Events. This position will also support data gathering and reporting requirements for the Executive in Residence.
Education:
Some post secondary education. Preferably a current SSB student.
Experience:
1-2 years' experience working in a busy office setting, ideally performing event planning and execution both face-to-face, as well as virtually through social media platforms/channels.
Skills:
- Excellent customer service, research and data analtyical skills.- A solid working knowledge of excel is required.- Excellent and effective written and verbal communication skills (especially, with the ability to be concise and clear).- Able to learn quickly, able to handle a high volume of customer service inquiries, be detail oriented and be able to multi-task.- Ability to work with various computer software applicaitons
