Purpose:
The Schulich Executive Education Centre (SEEC) is a revenue and margin-generating strategic business unit of the Schulich School of Business at York University. The SEEC is a self-sustaining unit that designs and develops offerings positioned at the high end of the market to a demanding professional clientele in executive education. The purpose of this job is to provide bilingual (English and French) support to Custom Project Leaders/Directors with their various corporate and international accounts. To also provide accurate translation of client documents from French to English and English to French as required by custom Program Leaders/Directors. To prepare custom seminars (English and French) for SEEC Corporate and International clients, including preparing and printing of materials and binders or preparation of electronic materials. To act as bilingual front-line contact for executives wishing to take Executive Education programs. To receive and process English and French client registrations and maintain accurate and complete registration records. To invoice clients in accordance with billing specifications/practices as defined by SEEC and the client, collect from tardy clients, and to ensure accuracy of client invoices.

Education:
Completion of related post-secondary courses or training in a related field (such as event planning, office administration, communication)

Experience:
Two (2) years related experience (e.g. customer service skills, administrative support, liaising with a variety of contacts, event planning, dealing with public/corporate community,) in a unionized and service oriented environment.

Skills:
Typing 45 - 50 wpm, accuracy essential. Intermediate level skills in MS word, power point, excel and database maintenance. Ability and willingness to learn a computerized registration system, obtaining and providing information in a clear and concise manner. Excellent English and French - speaking and written communications skills. Dealing courteously and effectively with people at all levels, exercising tact and diplomacy, effective interpersonal skills, attending accurately to details and working effectively under pressure of high volume and meeting deadlines. Effective customer service and pleasant telephone manner, good organizational skills, including setting priorities, exercising initiative and good judgement, ability to work as part of a team and independently. Demonstrated Time Management Skills, proficient knowledge/ability to use electronics tablets and laptops.

This position requires the candidate to produce a verification of degree(s), credentials(s), or equivalencies from accredited institutions and/or international equivalents at the time of interview. Hours of work: 9:00 AM to 5:00 PMSummer: SameOccasional overtime will be availablePeak periods: September to July
