Purpose:

Education:
High school diploma. Must obtain certification and maintain status as a Municipal Law Enforcement Officer prior to completion of Probationary period. Must hold a valid Ontario driver's license (Class â??G') in good standing. Provision of clean driver's record required.

Experience:
Two (2) years of recent bylaw enforcement experience (defined as within the last five (5) years) issuing municipal parking violations. Two (2) years parking related experience (e.g., working with Parking related equipment such as pay stations and/or license plate recognition).. Minimum of two (2) years' experience in customer service position involving considerable public contact. Previous experience with mobile payment applications & pay stations / machines is preferred.

- Demonstrated interpersonal communication skills (verbal and written communication skills)
- Effective listening, problem solving and conflict resolution skills
- Ability to work with hand held ticket writer devices and the ability to write legible reports

Physical demands involved in this position:
- Constant walking and carrying up to 10 pounds
- Frequent, standing, sitting, reaching, use of hands
- Occasional climbing, bending/twisting, pushing/pulling, leaningb) Working Conditions
- Working outdoors in various weather conditions
- Frequent computer use required
- Required use of telephone/radio
- Frequent interaction with community members, including potentially distressed individuals
