Purpose:
To provide centralized administrative support to the Office of Research Ethics.

Education:
High school diploma.

Experience:
2 years recent related experience in academic research environment or regulatory office environment. Demonstrated experience in providing administrative and organizational support to committee secretariat operations.

Skills:
Agenda preparation, minute-taking, drafting correspondence, organizing meetings and coordination of committee activities.
Demonstrated communication skills to elicit information and provide accurate information clearly and concisely.
Able to work effectively both independently and as a member of a team.
Exercises initiative and good judgment.
Maintains confidentiality.
Attends accurately to detail.
Works calmly and effectively under pressure of frequent interruptions.
Good organizational skills including setting priorities and meeting deadlines.
Deals courteously, tactfully and effectively with people.
Intermediate word processing in MS Word, intermediate spreadsheet skills required (e.g., MS Excel).
Basic skills with electronic mail, (compose and send messages).
Proficient using a computerized scheduling program (e.g., MS Outlook, MS Teams, Zoom meetings) or ethics application review system.
