Puose:
The Film Equipment Technician is responsible for preparing, distributing and receiving filmmaking equipment in the Department of Cinema & Media Arts Equipment Room. The role provides service, technical support and safe handling instruction to undergraduate students completing course work and assignments, for graduate students completing thesis work, and as well as for approved faculty research projects.
Education:
University Degree in a related field such as Film and Video production, or an equivalent of four (4) years recent experience (defined as within the last five years) working at York University and performing the same or similar tasks. This education equivalency is in addition to the experiential requirements outlined below.
Experience:
Two (2) years related experience in film and/or video production in a technical capacity. Experience in the operation of digital high-definition professional video cameras and audio recorders. Experience working in a teaching environment.

Ability to work accurately and effectively under pressure.
Familiarity with audio and video editing software such as Adobe Premiere, Avid, Final Cut Pro, Pro Tools.
Intermediate MS Office (Word, Excel, Access).
Ability to use email software and internet browsers.
