Purpose:
Osgoode Professional Development (OsgoodePD) is a revenue-generating professional education department of Osgoode Hall Law School, operating within a highly competitive commercial market for professional and executive continuing education. OsgoodePD offers degree and non-degree programs to both local and international students. Offerings include full-time and part-time graduate degree LLMs, non-degree certificates, seminars and skills workshops, summer school and bridging programs, webinars, and custom training for corporations and government. Staff and programs are located at both the York University campus and OsgoodePD's downtown Toronto office.Under the direction of the Digital Marketing Manager, the Web Content Specialist is responsible for the maintenance and optimization of OsgoodePD's website. This role encompasses creating, editing and publishing pages for the site, conducting quality assurance testing and ensuring adherence to accessibility standards. In addition, the role will be responsible for a variety of multimedia creation while ensuring accessibility (AODA) compliance and implementation of Search Engine Optimization (SEO) best practices. The Web Content Specialist will coordinate various PMS boards supporting the website, pull analytics data, and provide other administrative support to the marketing department. This role requires rigorous attention to detail to ensure accuracy in all public-facing web content.

Education:
University Degree in in a relevant field such as Marketing, Information Management, Business or Web Content Management, or an equivalent of four (4) years recent experience (defined as within the last five years) working at York University and performing the same or similar tasks. This education equivalency is in addition to the experiential requirements outlined below.

Experience:
Three (3) years' recent experience in marketing, including hands-on website management encompassing editing web pages and content, web navigation, SEO and web maintenance (Wordpress). Experience with social media scheduling tools such as SproutSocial or Hootsuite. Experience using AI platforms such as ChatGPT, Claude, Geminii, Perplexity. Experience using a project management system (Asana), data analytics tools (GA4) and multimedia design and creation (Adobe).

Skills:
Effective communication, including the ability to accurately produce written content in a clear and concise manner.
Brings a high degree of precision and accountability to detail-oriented work, including accurate proofreading and thorough cross-referencing.
Effective interpersonal skills including diplomacy and professionalism in interactions with internal and external partners
Effective interpersonal skills, including the ability to deal courteously, tactfully, and effectively with external partners, students, faculty, and employees.
Effective organizational and time management skills, including the ability to coordinate competing processes and functions independently to meet deadlines.
Effective analytical skills for gathering, synthesizing, and interpreting data for reports and action using Google Analytics (GA4) and Google Looker Studio.
Ability to work independently and as a member of a team in an environment of high volume and competing priorities.
Ability to exercise good judgment and flexibility in an environment of continuous change and process improvement.
Ability to collaborate across teams and apply cross-functional knowledge to support content creation for Osgoode's online properties and digital marketing campaigns.
Advanced MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Access, Outlook).
Advanced proficiency using WordPress or similar CMS and landing page builders such as Unbounce or Hubspot.
Demonstrated ability working with design software, including Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Premiere, Dreamweaver, Photoshop, and Illustrator) to produce digital materials including video, animations, pages, email campaigns, social media content, and other media files.
Demonstrated ability of using a Project Management Software (e.g. Asana).
Ability to use social media platforms, social media scheduling, hashtag mining, listening, discussion forums, wikis, blogs and search engine optimization (SEO) to enhance and promote website pages, campaigns, social media content and other media files, including any digital media.
Ability to use audio and video editing software (e.g. Adobe Premiere) to produce video, animations, pages, email campaigns, social media content and other media files
Ability to adapt to new and emerging technologies.
Knowledge of relevant policies and standards such as Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA), Website Content Accessibility Guide (WCAG), Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL).
Understanding of the website development process and common practices relating to website administration and maintenance.
Understanding of user experience, website and content creation best practices.
