Purpose:
The AI Agent Programming Assistant provides programming and application support for users in the academic departments within Lassonde School of Engineering, under the direction of the Manager, Academic & Administration Operations.
Education:
Completion of the first year in a post-secondary degree or diploma program in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
Experience:
Minimum of 1-year related experience in programming, application development, automation, or related technical projects.
Skills:
Ability to communicate with others to explain and share information.
Ability to present data in a variety of document and display formats.
Ability to demonstrate critical thinking and analytical skills.
Ability to exercise judgment and decision making.
Ability to learn and use a variety of computer applications.
Ability to demonstrate organizational skills to carry out a variety of tasks.
Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
Commitment to responsible, ethical, and secure use of AI technologies.
Proficient in computer programming languages and other related technologies: such as Python, React, CSS, and PHP.
Familiarity with AI technologies, prompt engineering, AI agent development, or automation platforms.
Knowledge of APIs, databases, reporting tools, and system integrations.
Knowledge of Microsoft Copilot Studio, Azure AI, Power Platform, OpenAI technologies, or similar tools.
