Purpose:
The Director, Glendon Recruitment & Admissions provides leadership, vision, strategic development, operational oversight, and guidance on marketing, services and activities for all aspects of the Recruitment, Admissions and Applicant Relations operations for students on the Glendon Campus. The Director, Glendon Recruitment & Admissions leads the design and implementation of both domestic and international recruitment activities of Glendon campus, which includes promotion, conversion and outreach work, oversight of international recruitment agents, liaising with York University's SEM and recruitment community of practice, managing various projects, and fostering partnerships within the education community.

Education:
Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline such as marketing, education, administration or business.

Experience:
5 years of related experience.
3 years of management experience.
Experience in student recruitment, admissions, marketing/public relations.
Experience in strategic planning and project management
Experience in a bilingual university setting.
Progressively related strategic experience, including setting goals and objectives, coordination, and planning in a cost recovery or profit-centered department/institution in a student recruitment role with additional online marketing and/or business development experience.
Experience in new client identification and relationship development/maintenance in the domestic and international arenas.
Experience with large record management systems (Microsoft Access, CRM Dynamics, SIS).

Skills:
Knowledge of university program offerings and admission requirements.
Understanding of both domestic and international student markets and trends and an appreciation of the needs of students and key influencers.

Effective cross-cultural communication and persuasive skills.
Effective leadership and managerial skills to lead, motivate, engage staff as well as cultivate cross-campus relationships.
Effective financial management skills including creating and monitoring project and operating budgets.

Ability to be flexible, versatile in a multi-institutional and multi-stakeholder work environment while maintaining effectiveness and efficiency.
Effective at monitoring and evaluating progress towards goals and tracking details, data, information and activities.
Attention to detail along with web analytics skills to compile and analyze information and data for program planning.
Proficient in the use MS Office and multi-media editing suites.
Effective communication and presentation skills. Ability to anticipate, understand, and respond to the needs of diverse partners, including students,
parents, and schools.
Effective organizational and time management skills to deliver results with competing priorities. Problem-solving skills, attention to detail. Ability to work independently.
Ability to work cooperatively and effectively with others to set goals, resolve problems, and make decisions that enhance organizational effectiveness. accept and give constructive feedback. Be willing to take direction when required.

Additional Notes:
This position requires the candidate to produce a verification of degree(s), credentials(s), or equivalencies from accredited institutions and/or international equivalents at the time of interview. 
On occasion may require domestic travel to/within the assigned region to recruit, foster and develop new partnerships and relationships with international partners and visit local schools and attend fairs.
Valid G Driver's License is required.
Valid Passport is required. On occasion, may be required to travel internationally to support the international recruitment team.

*Compensation:
York's CPM Compensation Framework has a salary grid consisting of 6 or 8 steps (depending on job grade) which is reviewed annually with possible adjustments, and a lump sum Performance Based Recognition Award. Employees will receive the grid adjustment and depending on performance, eligible permanent employees may move to the next step of the grid and may receive a lump sum Performance Based Recognition Award.Visit the CPM Compensation page on the HR Website to find out more about York's CPM Compensation Program.
