Purpose:
The Accreditation Project Implementation Manager role provides a crucial integration and weaving role to ensure that information relating to the future York University School of Medicine (SoM) Postgraduate Medical Education (PGME) residency programs including curriculum, assessment, and clinical training environments within the Integrated Community-based Learning Network (ICLN)align with the mission of the school and the rigorous standards of the Canadian Residency Accreditation Consortium (CanRAC). Reporting to the Director, Transition Team this role is responsible for articulating the detailed policies and procedures required to ensure the School of Medicine provides the highest standard of residency training. This includes ensuring compliance with the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (RCPSC) and the College of Family Physicians of Canada (CFPC). The role demonstrates commitment to promoting decolonization, diversity, equity, and inclusion in medical education and fostering a culture of excellence, professionalism, and lifelong learning.
Education:
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
Master's degree in a relevant field, such as Education, English, or Journalism preferred.Note: Requires verification of degrees/credentials
Experience:
5 years of related experience.
3 years of management experience.
Experience managing an administrative team in an academic environment.
Experience developing accreditation or regulatory documents, policies, and procedures.
Experience with Postgraduate Medical Education (PGME) curriculum and accreditation processes (CanRAC/CanERA).
Experience managing complex projects, listening to different perspectives, coming to a consensus, and developing a clear path forward for projects.
Experience working with distributed learning networks or community-based clinical training sites is preferred.
Skills:
Understanding of competency-based medical education (CBME) pedagogy and CanRAC accreditation standards.
Knowledge of the interface between university PGME offices and health system partners (such as the ICLN) in the delivery of residency education.
Knowledge of editorial and journalistic principles.
Knowledge of decolonization, Indigenous History and culture.
Knowledge of the principles and practices to deliver Equity, Diversity and Inclusion in medicine and post-secondary education.Skills

*Compensation:
York's CPM Compensation Framework has a salary grid consisting of 6 or 8 steps (depending on job grade) which is reviewed annually with possible adjustments, and a lump sum Performance Based Recognition Award.
