Purpose:
The Receptionist and Office Assistant welcomes students, alumni, employers, and other visitors to the Career Centre, refers them to the appropriate career supports and campus resources and ensures excellent customer service and the efficient operations of the Career Centre's reception area. This includes maintaining administrative systems such as service registration and attendance tracking, as well as providing informed and responsive in-person career and job search support to students and recent alumni in the Career Centre's front reception and resource area on a drop-in basis. The Receptionist and Office Assistant also provides administrative support to the Dossier Service, the Management Team and Career Centre team member.
Education:
High school diploma, plus additional training in customer service and business/office administration or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience:
1 year recent related front-line reception and customer service experience, in a fast-paced post-secondary environment, with experience providing administrative support.

Please note: This position requires the candidate to produce a verification of degree(s), credentials(s), or equivalencies from accredited institutions and/or international equivalents at the time of interview. Hours of work: Monday to Friday 8:30am to 4:30pm Summer: From Friday prior to Victoria Day to Labour Day Weekend, the normal workday will be reduced at the end of the regular shift by one (1) hour every Friday.
