Purpose:
Under the direction of the Associate Director, Corporate Relations, the Recruitment Coordinator works collaboratively with CDC's Corporate Relations Team to coordinate and arrange all recruitment related events and activities, coordinating and arranging all logistics and support as well as acting as the client services lead during events to ensure these run smoothly. Coordination work in this role extends to arranging all logistics for students' access to CDC resources, and collaborating on special projects arising within the CDC. The position shares the role of being a point of contact along with the Corporate Relations Specialists for current and potential corporate recruiters on all aspects of the recruiting process and is also required to provide exceptional client service and ensure ongoing efforts towards the hiring of Schulich students and addresses all corporate inquiries and helps promote CDC's program and services. Education:
Community College Diploma in a related field (e.g., Event Planning, Marketing or Communications) or an equivalent of 2 years recent experience (defined as within the last three years) working at York University and performing the same or similar tasks. This education equivalency is in addition to the experiential requirements outlined below.

Experience:
Two (2) years of recent directly related work experience and responsibility in a variety of areas of business administration and/or event management. Must have experience in customer service, (which demonstrates superior interpersonal and client relationship development skills, experience in information management, event planning, providing administrative assistance to senior level executives, exposure to corporate recruiters, and experience corresponding with global business and education leaders. Demonstrated advancement to more progressively responsible positions required and experience in high volume enterprises is preferred.

Skills:
Solid working knowledge of Internet-based technology management, contact management tools, and job posting technology are required. Must be able to input and maintain on-line employer and student databases, job postings, interview scheduling and statistical reports on-line and on-campus with Contact Management/ Recruitment Software (e.g., CareerQuest). Intermediate level with MS Office Suite (i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint), electronic mail and computerized scheduling (Lotus Notes preferred) systems required. Career Centre experience and/or recruitment experience with complete understanding of industry standards and best practices in these fields required.Demonstrated ability to elicit and provide information in a clear and concise manner, strong written communication skills, including ability to draft email responses in a professional manner, excellent oral communication skills, including demonstrated ability to communicate inter-culturally and with diverse stakeholders in person, by phone and in writing, demonstrated success in identifying, developing and maintaining positive collaborative relationships with internal and external clients, and operating with a high service and value-add focus, strong public speaking skills to make presentations to students and staff, outstanding attention to accuracy and detail, demonstrated client-centered approach, dealing courteously, tactfully and effectively with all stakeholders, good judgment in analyzing priorities and evaluating situations, initiative and a 'can-do' attitude, and demonstrated excellent attendance and punctuality essential.High energy and enthusiasm, positive and empathic, must have ability to work independently and effectively under pressure and handle high volumes of disparate work during peak periods, must be able to handle demanding and/or displeased students, constant interruptions, conflicting priorities, and regular deadlines, while maintaining accuracy and excellent caliber service orientation and focus.

Reliability, excellent attendance, and punctuality are essential, professionalism, tact, diplomacy and confidentiality must be maintained at all times and are required for this role.Willingness to travel via transit or by other means to employer locations, primarily in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) is a requirement in this position.This position requires the candidate to produce a verification of degree(s), credentials(s), or equivalencies from accredited institutions and/or international equivalents at the time of interview.
